As Forwarding Agents the aim of Caralb M&T, acting on behalf of importers, exporters or other related companies, is to organise the safe, efficient and best cost-effective means of transport (maritime, air, railway, and/or by road), according with the type of goods and the customers delivery requirements.

Activities include:

• Planning the most appropriate route for a shipment, having in mind the nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security.
• Negotiation of contracts, transportation and handling costs.
• Arranging appropriate packing, taking account of weather, weight, nature of goods and cost.
• Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with overseas countries regulations and fiscal regimes.
• Offering consolidation services by air, sea and road, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions to small shippers who handle small shipments.
• Liaising with third parties to move goods (by road, rail, air or sea) in accordance with customer requirements.
• Dealing with special arrangements for transporting delicate cargoes, such as livestock or food.
• Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation, and other factors that could affect the movement of freight.
• Import/ export and customs consulting.
